Royal Pack is the brand of vacuum bags and rolls for food preservation by ELCA Srl
ELCA Srl is a company with over 40 years of experience on the market, specialized in the distribution of products for the home and kitchen.
In the late 90s ELCA decided to create a line of vacuum products, with a strong focus on the needs of the end consumer and the retailer. At that time, vacuum preservation was not very widespread in Italy and plastic packaging was starting to be used to extend the shelf life of food.
However, there were few sizes of bags and rolls, the packages included many pieces, the unit cost was high. Furthermore, the availability on the market was poor because the products were difficult to supply and deliver.
Thus the Royal Pack brand was born, with the aim of offering customers a complete range of products, with many different types of film that is transformed to obtain vacuum bags.
The customer finds the possibility to purchase vacuum-packed products with many types of formats, with the possibility of requesting the production of bags of particular dimensions.

The Royal Pack range was created to offer the end customer a highly recognisable product that stands out from private brands and generalist products.
The idea is to allow the Customer to have a point of reference in dealing with the range of vacuum-packed products.

Royal Pack products are created to always guarantee the same quality of film used as raw material. Royal Pack products always declare all the thicknesses of the individual bags. Each range has its own thickness and its own conservation and mechanical resistance properties.
We don't change product qualities just to gain a price advantage.
Furthermore, the processing carried out on the original films is always homogeneous and respects accurate quality standards.
Overall, therefore, the Royal Pack product always maintains its basic characteristics unchanged over time. This guarantees high performance and the security of a reliable partner for food preservation.
Why is it important to make sure that vacuum bags and rolls are always of the same quality?
Royal Pack guarantees that the products of the same range always have the same quality of plastic film of origin and processing.
This is true even if, in particular market phases, it would be more convenient to modify them to have lower costs.
The thickness of plastic films for vacuum storage is measured in micron meters, that is, in millionths of a meter, or thousandths of a millimeter.
The preservation of our Customers' food is based on these almost imperceptible thicknesses. On average, a Royal Pack vacuum bag is 100 micron metre thick, i.e. 0.1 millimetre. It is easy to understand that reducing the thickness of the 10% can guarantee an important commercial advantage for the supplier, without the Customer often being able to perceive the difference.
Furthermore, Royal Pack vacuum bags and pouches are made of multiple layers of different materials. It is the various layers that allow the preservation of food, because they prevent the gases contained in the air from entering the bag. The reduction of thickness, therefore, compromises this barrier effect, to the detriment of food preservation.
